Projekt je zaměřen na podporu svépomocných aktivit a pomoc rodinám, které pečují o děti či dospělé s poruchou autistického spektra (PAS) na území Jihočeského kraje. Účelem projektu je vytvoření uceleného programu a realizace aktivit, které umožní osobám s autismem žít obdobným způsobem života jako jejich vrstevníci a tak předcházet jejich sociálnímu vyloučení.
Díky projektu se v Auticentru mohou celoročně setkávat rodiny pečujících o osoby s PAS. Mohou si zde vyměňovat své zkušenosti v oblasti výchovy, sociálního učení osob s PAS, využití různých způsobů komunikace s osobami s PAS, smyslového vnímaní a cvičení koncentrace prostřednictvím speciálních aktivizačních a edukačních pomůcek a her.
Rodičům bude k dispozici odborná literatura, speciální tříkolky a mnoho užitečných pomůcek, s jejichž užíváním a účelností se budou moci seznámit.
V Auticentru se mohou setkávat navzájem i osoby s autismem, a to pravidelně a v prostředí, které jim je uzpůsobené. V tomto prostředí lze čas i společné aktivity dobře strukturovat. Osoby s autismem tak mezi sebou snáze navazují kontakty, těší se na sebe. Součástí projektu by měly být také pravidelné sourozenecké skupiny pod vedením psychologa se zkušenostmi s rodinami pečujícími o osobu s PAS.
Projekt je realizován v rámci grantu Jihočeského kraje.
