Svět očima autisty. Vědci zjistili, v čem se liší vnímání lidí s PAS.
Že lidé s autismem vnímají svět okolo sebe jinak než ostatní, je známá věc. Vědci z výzkumné instituce Caltech ale nyní zjistili, jaké jsou rozdíly v tom, čemu věnují pozornost autisté v porovnání s lidmi, kteří poruchou autistického spektra netrpí. Na sedmi stovkách fotografií totiž vysledovali, na co přesně se na jednotlivých obrázcích dívají. Výsledek? Zatímco běžně lidé věnují pozornost lidským obličejům, autisté se většinou dívají do středu obrázku – i když v něm zrovna nic není – a také na kontrastní či barevně výrazné předměty. Svá zjištění, která by mohla pomoci zdokonalit diagnostiku a také přizpůsobit léčbu jednotlivým pacientům, nyní odborníci publikovali v časopise Neuron. Pokračování článku ...
